Tilbury LNG Expansion Project

Nextgen was responsible for the Protection & Control and Telecommunications design of the new 69/13.8kV Tilbury Substation for the FortisBC Tilbury LNG project.  We also designed, fabricated and shop tested the P&C panels for the project.  Nextgen continued to be involved as the project transitioned out of the design phase by managing and preforming all commissioning activities for the Tilbury Substation.  This included:

  • Overall Commissioning Management including development of and adherence to the Commissioning Plan, Commissioning Test Summary and approved Test Sheets

  • Equipment Testing & Commissioning

  • Communications, Protection & Control Commissioning

  • Construction support

  • Project handover

  • Operator training

Nextgen continues to support the Tilbury Substation through operations, maintenance and training activities.
